Please be aware we are under a high fire risk. If you burn rubbish or brush please do not leave it unattended. Keep a hose handy. If the wind is blowing do not light that match or lighter. Keep in mind that you are responsible for any damage your fire causes if it spreads out of control.

It is with a heavy heart the Furrs Fire Dept has lost one of their own this morning. Fireman Billy Ransom lost his battle with cancer. Billy was the one person you could always count on for help. Anything needing done he was just a phone call away. Never questioned anything you asked of him he just showed up and helped. Your smile and willingness to help everyone and anyone will be hard to match. You will be missed my brother and never will the Furrs Fire Dept. Forget you. Fly high our friend.

We will be at the fire department again tonight starting at 7pm giving out candy till it runs out we will also have the kids running the haunted house and the bull rides If you didn’t make it last night come see us tonight.
