Northeast Mississippi Habitat for Humanity is pleased to announce a $30,000 contribution from the Tennessee Valley Authority in support of the organization’s mission to provide safe, affordable housing for families in Tupelo and Lee County.

This generous investment will help NEMS Habitat continue its work of building quality homes, strengthening neighborhoods, and creating opportunities for local families to achieve long-term stability through homeownership.

Northeast Mississippi Habitat for Humanity serves families throughout Tupelo and Lee County by partnering with qualified homeowners to build and purchase safe, affordable homes. Through volunteerism, community partnerships, and donor support, the organization works to build homes, communities, and hope.

A big thank-you to the team from Tupelo’s new Target location for spending their Saturday volunteering with Northeast Mississippi Habitat for Humanity!

A huge thank you to Tracy Barber with Aiming for Healthy Families, Inc. for leading one of our Homeowner Education classes on healthy relationships, spending habits, and personal financial responsibility. These conversations equip our partner families with practical tools to build not only successful homeownership, but also lasting stability for years to come.

Today was another great day on the build site!

We were grateful to welcome several of our Habitat partner families, community members, volunteers from Homestretch Furniture, and members of our Board of Directors as they worked side by side to help build a brighter future for a local family.

During this month’s board meeting, we celebrated the passing of the hammer as leadership transitioned from our outgoing Board President, Stacy Crowley, to our incoming Board President, Tonya Hensley.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Stacy for her faithful leadership, dedication, and service to Northeast Mississippi Habitat for Humanity. Her guidance has helped strengthen our mission and expand our impact throughout our community.

We are equally excited to welcome Tonya into this leadership role. We look forward to her vision, passion, and commitment as we continue building homes, communities, and hope together.
