Wohooo...Tupelo Senior Center will reopen this Friday June 5th. Lunch will be served at 12pm. Come out and joing us for a good meal and company. We will have some new cooks and some new volunteers. Lunch is always free however we do truly appreciate any donations we recieve.

We are getting ready for our annual 4th of July Celebration!!! We are looking for more vendors to join this years activities. Please reach out if you are interested in joining. We only allow one of each type of vendor set up so get your spot early!!!

We also have the Fireworks ***Waffle*** tickets for sale see either of our stores, a firefighter, a police officer, or come by city hall to purchase your tickets!! Drawing will be held 30 minutes before firework show on July 4th.

Please Join us for a Volunteer Meeting Monday May 18th at 10am at the Tupelo Senior Center. We are in need of Volunteers to be able to reopen our senior center. We are looking to have alternating cooks so that it is not on one person all the time. Please if you are interested in assisting please come to the meeting. We will discuss menu options as well as volunteer rolls.

Still needing volunteers to help cook and support staff. My idea is to get enough volunteer cooks that not one person will be doing it every single week. So please consider volunteering if you have availability.

The Town of Tupelo is in need of volunteers to reopen our Senior Center lunches. We are looking to reopen center for meals April 10th, 2026. Lunch is served on Friday between 11am and 12pm.

Our hope is to create a rotating schedule of cooks for each week. Ideally if we could get five or six volunteers to cook they would only need to cook every five to six weeks.

We also need to have support staff for those cooks.

We want to extend a huge thank you to Coal County District 1 for bringing back the dumpsters! Your support helps keep our community clean and organized.

🌿 **Important Reminder:** Once the dumpsters are full, they are no longer available for use. We will keep them open for the time being, but please be mindful and respectful of this guideline.

🚫 If we observe any unauthorized dumping after the dumpsters are full, we will have no choice but to lock them up in the evenings. Let’s work together to maintain a clean environment for everyone!

Also remember that all of your unwanted items goes inside the dumpster. Please do not leave something out thinking someone else might want your unwanted items.
