This Memorial Day, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness will never be forgotten. At Tupper Lake EMS we are grateful for all who have served and continue to protect our freedoms every day. From our family to yours, thank you to our fallen heroes and the loved ones who carry their legacy.

Tupper Lake EMS will also be participating in a memorial service today at 11am at the memorial on Park street. If anyone would like to come pay respects during this ceremony everyone is invited to come.

Our first work bee together as a team at the Tupper Lake Volunteer Rescue Squad was a success!

Today was more than just getting projects done — it was about teamwork, new beginnings, and building stronger connections within our squad. We were excited to work side by side, accomplish so much together, and officially welcome 4 new members to the team.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, pitched in, and helped make our first work bee such a great start. The future of our squad is looking strong! 🚑💙

Part-Time ALS Provider (AEMT or Paramedic) – 24-Hour Shift (Thursdays)
Tupper Lake Volunteer Rescue Squad
Tupper Lake, NY
The Tupper Lake Volunteer Rescue Squad is seeking a Part-Time Advanced Life Support (ALS) Provider to join our team. This position is ideal for an Advanced EMT (AEMT) or Paramedic looking for consistent weekly hours in a rural EMS setting.

Position Details
• Schedule: 24-hour shift every Thursday (6am to 6am Friday)
• Employment Type: Part-time
• Setting: 911 emergency response

Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary ALS provider on emergency medical calls
• Perform patient assessments and deliver advanced prehospital care
• Administer medications, establish IV/IO access, and manage airways within scope of practice
• Work collaboratively with BLS providers and other emergency responders
• Complete patient care reports and ensure ambulance readiness between calls

Qualifications
• Current New York State certification as AEMT or Paramedic
• Valid CPR/BLS certification (ACLS preferred for Paramedics)
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a rural EMS environment

• Variable call volume ranging from quiet periods to high activity
• On-duty time includes station coverage, with the ability to rest when not on calls
• Supportive, team-oriented environment serving the local community
