Turin Library’s 10th Annual South Lewis Art Show Review

The Turin Library would like to thank the South Lewis Art Department and their students for another wonderful art show. Our judge this year was Andrea Lee from the Lowville area. She judged all the pieces and chose the “Best of Show” for each category. The choices were grades K-4th: Peyton Geiser, 5-8: Mari Tucker, 9-12: Tristan Scouten. The Judges Choice Award went to Addison Burker.
The Patron’s Choice Awards were as follows. K-4: 1st Kaylen Sprowell, 2nd Sophia Buckingham, 3rd Kinslee Sullivan, and Honorable Mention Easton Bourgeois. Grades 5-8: 1st Mari Tucker, 2nd Braelyn Widrick, 3rd Lily Hoch, Honorable Mention Alenko Ruano. Grades 9-12: 1st Noah Stanford, 2nd Addison Burker, 3rd Kaydaln Fowler, Honorable Mention Kierra Holland. Photography: 1st Lilly Higby, Reeghan Weiler, 3rd Laina Woods, and Honorable Mention Reeghan Weiler.
We also would like to thank Faust Poste’s students from Ready Play Studio in Lyons Falls. They graciously entertained us with many beautiful classical selections as well as some fiddle tunes. Lastly, Joanne Salmon won the $25.00 gift card door prize from Naturally Lewis.
Thank you to everyone who made this another successful show, and we’ll see you next year!

This year's judge, Andrea Lee, came and viewed the 80 pieces of artwork we have on display. She chose (after some VERY HARD decisions) her "Best of Show " for each category. So we now have awards up for those four categories. They will receive cash prizes at our reception on February 27th, from 6-8:00. Now it is up to our visitors to come and vote for the other 16 Patron's Choice Awards and prizes! We will have 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Honorable Mention for K-4, 5-8, 9-12, and Photography. Also enjoy these paintings created by our judge, and vote for your favorite pieces. All awards will be presented on "Reception Night".
