🎉 Supporting Small Businesses. Revitalizing Storefronts. Growing Turlock. 🎉

Earlier this week, Mayor Amy Bublak and the Turlock City Council recognized another exciting addition to our local business community during the May 26, 2026, City Council meeting.

The Council presented a Turlock Partnership Incentive Program grant check to Pupusas Francis Inc., celebrating their recent opening at 507 N. Golden State Blvd. and their investment in Turlock's future.

The program helps activate vacant storefronts, support entrepreneurship, and encourage investment throughout Turlock.

This locally owned business joins a growing list of entrepreneurs who have utilized the Turlock Partnership Incentive Program to open and expand their businesses in our community.

Small businesses are the backbone of our local economy, and the City remains committed to creating opportunities that help entrepreneurs succeed while strengthening Turlock's business community.

Housing growth and economic development go hand in hand. 🏘️📈

A current residential project in Turlock will bring approximately 114 new housing units to our community, and those rooftops matter. The video showcases residential projects located at 1601 W. Monte Vista Avenue and 3201 Four Seasons Drive in Turlock, CA.

In economic development, housing unit counts are one of the key metrics companies evaluate when deciding where to invest, expand, and create jobs. Retailers and entertainment concepts like Trader Joe’s and Topgolf often analyze household density, population growth, and consumer spending patterns within specific trade areas before selecting locations.

It’s not just retail, advanced manufacturers, technology companies, medical offices, and other employers also look closely at housing availability and community growth when determining where to locate and recruit talent.

More housing means more families living, shopping, dining, and investing in our local economy. Increased consumer activity helps generate sales tax revenue that can support future investments in roads, infrastructure, parks, public safety, and other quality-of-life improvements throughout our community.

Strategic growth helps position Turlock for long-term economic success, future amenities, expanded job opportunities, and continued private investment. Projects like this help lay the foundation for future economic growth and a stronger community for generations to come.

🎶 Small Business Week Spotlight: Turlock Music Academy

What started as a passion for music and teaching has grown into a new downtown Turlock business dedicated to enriching minds through music.

Owner Malachi Hernandez started teaching music lessons from home after relocating to Turlock in 2020. As demand grew, so did the vision for creating a space where students of all ages could learn, grow, and build confidence through music.

Stories like this are exactly why supporting small businesses matters. Local entrepreneurs continue to bring new energy, opportunity, and investment into our community, helping strengthen downtown Turlock and creating spaces that positively impact local families.

We are proud to support local small businesses like this one through the Turlock Partnership Incentive Program. We’re grateful to have Turlock Music Academy as part of our business community and look forward to seeing their continued growth and success. 🎹🎸
