At tonight’s TUSD Board of Trustee’s meeting, we recognized our community partner Turlock Amazon MCE1 for the generous donations they’ve given TUSD and the Family Resource Center throughout the 2025-2026 school year valued at $42,356.29. These donations have found a variety of new homes with our families and schools, in particular, our “Career Technical Education programs. Beyond these donations, Turlock Amazon MCE1 employees regularly assist the Family Resource Center with our drive-through food distributions at Dutcher Middle School. They are also a key partner for our annual Reading Extravaganza which is tentatively slated for October 10 next year school year. Shout out to the Child Nutrition Education Center’s Pascual Montes for all this support picking up these donations. We ❤️ our Turlock community!

In TUSD, we are committed to creating learning environments where every student feels safe, respected, valued, and empowered to succeed. We are proud to have LGBTQ+ students, staff, and families as part of the “US” in TUSD. 🏳️‍🌈

At this afternoon’s TUSD Administrative Council we wrapped up the 2025-2026 school year with a look back at notable achievements. We also bid a fond farewell to three TUSD educators who are headed for retirement:

We are excited to welcome students to our Summer ELP program. The program will begin on June 4. Families who are enrolled should have already received a confirmation.

Our program hours will be 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day.

We look forward to a fun, safe, and engaging summer filled with enriching activities for all of our students.

Congratulations to the Turlock High School Class of 2026! Tonight these students earned their high school diploma and struck out on paths ranging from the military to college to the workforce. A special recognition to Natalia Plascencia, Turlock’s Valedictorian, who graduated with a weighted 5.0 GPA and is headed to UC Merced to major in English Literature.

That grit and determination helped shape not only your own growth, but the growth of our entire school community. Because of students like you, we saw improvements in attendance, math and ELA achievement, and overall school culture at TJHS. You truly lived out what Tiger Pride in Every Stride means by continuing to move forward, supporting one another, and representing your school with resilience and pride. You came to TJHS from nine different Turlock Unified elementary schools and fro districts beyond, and over the past two years, you became one Tiger community.” - Principal Agustin Arreola

And they’re off to high school! This afternoon Turlock Junior High School held two promotion ceremonies for their 8th grade students. Whether their path leads them to becoming a member of the Pride or a Bulldog or somewhere else altogether we know they have a bright future ahead. Congratulations, Tigers! 🐅

A special recognition to Emerson Newton, Pitman’s Valedictorian who graduated with a weighted GPA of 4.73 and is headed to Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and will be majoring in Political Science.
