At yesterday’s Special Board of Trustees meeting, the following administrative positions were approved:

▪️Claudia Navarro Ramirez, Cunningham Elementary School, Principal - Ms. Navarro Ramirez joined TUSD in 2013 as a 4th grade GATE teacher at Julien Elementary School. From 2017-2022, she taught 3rd grade Math & Science at Walnut. She became the Assistant Principal in 2022 at Osborn Two-Way Immersion Academy and served as the Interim Principal at Osborn for a time in the Spring of 2025.

▪️Erica Maldonado-Higle, Assistant Principal, Osborn Two-Way Dual Immersion Academy - Ms. Maldonado-Higle joined TUSD in 1999 as an Elementary Teacher & Literacy Specialist at Osborn Elementary and then as a Coordinator of English Learner Support in 2015. She most recently served, since 2017, as an English Language Development Teacher. She began her career in education in 1997 as a Bilingual Elementary Teacher in Hilmar.

▪️Clinton Manzo, Dean of Students, THS- Mr. Manzo joined TUSD in 2025 as a Resource Inclusion Specialist at TJHS. He began his career in education in 2021 as a Special Education Teacher with Capistrano Elementary and then moved to Delhi High School as a Special Education Teacher where he worked for 3 years.

And we’re back! 🎉

TUSD Induction Coordinator Karla Paul kicked off the 2026–2027 TUSD New Teacher Academy this morning at Walnut Elementary Education Center. We’re excited to welcome 6️⃣2️⃣ new educators to the TUSD family!

Over the next few days, our newest teachers will participate in professional learning designed to help them successfully transition into their new roles while learning more about TUSD and the students and families they will serve.

Superintendent David Lattig welcomed the group with a special emphasis on the importance of partnering with families to support student success.

The countdown is on until the first bell of the 2026–2027 school year! 🔔 Enjoy these last few weeks of summer! ☀️
