Meet Our New Animal Services Patrol Truck! πŸΎπŸš”

Turlock Animal Services is excited to introduce our new patrol truck, designed specifically to better serve the animals and residents of our community.

This specialized vehicle gives our Animal Services Officers more capacity, improved organization, and safer transport capabilities when responding to calls throughout the City of Turlock. The built-in stairs and ramp allow officers to safely and securely transport multiple animals while keeping them separated and comfortable with the Red Dot cooling system.

The new truck also provides additional space for essential equipment, helping our officers respond more efficiently to everything from stray animals and injured pets to animal-related emergencies.

πŸš” More capability.
πŸ• Safer animal transport.
🦺 Improved officer safety.
🏘️ Better service to our community.

We’re proud to continue investing in the tools our officers need to protect animals, assist residents, and keep our community safe.

RABIES AWARENESS: PROTECTING OUR PETS AND COMMUNITY πŸ¦‡πŸΎ

Turlock Animal Services is sharing an important reminder following an increase in rabies-positive bats and reports of rabies exposure involving domestic animals throughout California.

Rabies is preventable, and simple precautions can help protect both people and pets. Please make sure your dogs and cats are current on their rabies vaccinations, avoid handling bats or other wildlife, and keep pets safely separated from wild animals.

If you find a bat or other wild animal acting unusually, do not touch or attempt to move it. Keep people and pets away and contact Animal Services for guidance. If your pet has contact with a bat or other wildlife, report the exposure promptlyβ€”even if you do not see an obvious bite or injury.

There is no need for alarm, but awareness and prevention are important. By keeping pets vaccinated and avoiding direct contact with wildlife, our community can continue to reduce the risk of rabies exposure.

For questions or to report an animal bite or sick wildlife, contact Turlock Animal Services at 209-656-3140

🐾 A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Supporters! 🐾

We want to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who has donated and supported Turlock Animal Services every year. Because of your generosity, we were able to purchase speakers for our kennels that allow us to play soothing music for the animals in our care. ❀️🎢

Music can provide comfort and enrichment for shelter animals by helping create a calmer environment, reducing stress, and offering a sense of familiarity during what can be an overwhelming time for them. A peaceful kennel environment can help animals relax, show their true personalities, and improve their overall shelter experience.

Every donation, big or small, makes a meaningful difference. Your support allows us to continue finding new ways to improve the lives of the animals waiting for their next chapter.

Thank you for being a part of our mission and helping us care for the animals in our community. πŸΆπŸ±πŸ’™
