Today, SJTA joins communities across the country in recognizing Imagine a Day Without Water. 💧

Water is woven into nearly every part of daily life. It supports our homes, strengthens local economies and helps California farms grow the food families depend on. It also sustains the rivers and habitats that make our region unique.

SJTA member agencies work every day to responsibly manage this essential resource and strengthen water reliability for communities throughout the Bay Area and Central Valley.

Imagine your day without water and take a moment to appreciate the people, infrastructure and partnerships that keep it flowing.

Partnership in action along the Tuolumne River. 💧

On September 19th, SJTA member agencies and community members joined Operation 9-2-99 for a National Cleanup Day event along the north bank of the Tuolumne River in Modesto.

Together, volunteers removed 2 tons of garbage and improved 27 acres of river corridor. These efforts help support river health, enhance recreational spaces, and care for a resource that serves communities, agriculture, wildlife and recreation throughout the region.

Thank you to everyone who contributed their time and energy. This event demonstrates what we can accomplish when agencies, organizations and community members work toward a common goal.
