A friendly reminder that if you see our trucks on the roadside please slow down and move over.

Good afternoon.

On March 5th, 2025, at 08:22, the Androscoggin County Communications Center dispatched Turner Fire Rescue to 457 Auburn Road, also known as Willy's Auto Body, for a fully involved structure fire with multiple callers. Turner Engine 1, Engine 2, Utility 1, Rescue 2, and Rescue 3 all responded.

Upon arrival, crews observed a fully involved structure fire, and all occupants made it out safely. Crews immediately went into an offensive strategy attack, and crews went inside the building. Soon after, the structural integrity was deemed to be unsafe for interior operations, and all firefighters were evacuated from the building and started a defensive strategy attack.

Auburn Road was closed for some time during this incident, but was soon reopened to one lane of traffic.

Despite all efforts, the extent of the fire and water damage resulted in the structure being a total loss.

Turner Fire Rescue would like to thank our mutual aid partners, Auburn Fire Department, Leeds Fire Department, Greene Fire Department, Minot Fire Department, Buckfield Fire Department, Livermore Fire Department, Jay Fire & Rescue, Monmouth Fire Department, Hebron Fire Department, and Wales Fire Department for their assistance during this incident.
