Montague Cultural Council This is the official page for the Montague Cultural Council

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts has a unique way of distributing some of the funds it allocates to support cultural programs: Local Cultural Councils, or LCCs. LCCs are groups of volunteers who decide how to spend their town's share of the state allocation. The Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC) manages 329 Local Cultural Councils in Massachusetts; the Montague Cultural Council is one of them,

as are the Cultural Councils in neighboring towns such as Gill, Greenfield, Erving, Leverett, Wendell, and Bernardston. Local Cultural Councils like ours make up the largest grassroots cultural funding network in the nation!

The Montague Cultural Council is conducting its annual survey to gauge peoples’ sentiments and preferences regarding where we should steer our funding this year. The MCC, which is part of the larger Massachusetts Cultural Council, gives grants to a variety of individuals, groups and organizations to help them further their project goals, mainly in the arts (visual and performing) and science education realms.

We’d appreciate it if you took a few minutes to complete our survey. It’s quick and painless, and will help us tremendously in charting our course for the year ahead. Also, it would be great if you could share this survey link with other Montague residents.
