This beautiful crayon mural is now at the Turtle Lake Public Library!!! Please come by and see it!

Here Comes the Sun! ☀️🌈

The Turtle Lake Schools art department is celebrating the end of the school year and the beginning of a beautiful summer with this crayon mural! 🖍️

This was a collaborative project created by our 3rd–5th grade students in partnership with a dedicated group of high school students. The younger students led the creative vision, developing a variety of vibrant designs and color palettes. 🎨 Our high school students then helped select the final concept and took on the meticulous task of hand-gluing roughly 4,000 crayons to the board, creating a mural measuring 4 ft. x 8 ft. 🤩

If you look closely, you’ll see some clever improvisations where we ran out of materials, a true testament to the creative process! This project was designed to bridge the gap between elementary and high school, demonstrating that we can create something truly amazing when we work toward a common goal. We hope this lesson in unity stays with our students for years to come. 🎉😊
