Port Hope Township generally meets the 1st Wednesday of each month at 7pm at the Port Hope Township Hall! All meeting dates and past meeting minutes are located on our website! The link is included below.

Port Hope Township is located north of Bemidji in the beautiful Chippewa National Forest in Beltrami County in northern Minnesota.

As of Sunday at Midnight, most road restrictions for Port Hope Township have been removed. Please note there are still restrictions in place on some roads, signs will be updated when those restrictions are removed. Usage Fees: $25 deposit & rental fee are required in advance (by Separate Checks) with the
deposit to be returned when premises is approved by the maintenance person.
CANCELLATION: any cancellation made LESS than 48 hours preceding the event, may result
in forfeiture.

Resident: non-profit $20 per use $30 per use
profit $30 per use $40 per use
Non-Resident non-profit $30 per use $40 per use
profit $40 per use $50 per use
Governmental Groups $20 per use
No meeting room charge for non-profit youth group meetings. Any other youth group event will be
charged $20. Government meetings where Port Hope Officer is involved in the meeting &
representing Port Hope.

The next Port Hope Township Board Meeting is next Wednesday, March 5 at 7pm. We have two new additions to the Township Staff, Amanda Kerkhoff, Treasurer and Angela Paulson, Clerk. The website will soon be updated with pictures but if you would like to meet them in person please join us on Wednesday!

Turtle River Lake Road NE Continued Closure and Project Update

Bridge construction will be paused on Turtle River Lake Road located 3.9 miles East of Trunk Highway 71. The new bridge will be passable to traffic on Wednesday, March 27.

Bridge construction will begin on Turtle River Lake Road located 2.25 miles East of Trunk Highway 71 on Wednesday, March 27. The road will be closed until Wednesday, April 24 or until construction activities are complete. Please follow the signed detour.

All dates are subject to variability dependent upon the weather. Construction activities involving grading, paving, and finishing operations will continue past the projected closure dates. Expect partial lane closures and delays during this time.

Beltrami County Highway Department urges motorists to slow down and use caution when traveling in work zones.
