Nutritious food is essential at every stage of life, yet many older adults in our community face impossible choices between buying medicine, paying utilities, or buying groceries.

Through our Senior Box Program, we deliver boxes packed with nutritious food to seniors experiencing food insecurity across West Alabama, giving them the dietary support they need and the dignity they deserve.

We couldn't do this without your continued generosity. Help us care for the seniors who built our communities by donating today at the link in our bio.

Did you know that just $1 can provide 6 meals for families facing food insecurity?

Because of our purchasing power and partnerships, your monetary donations stretch incredibly far. The West Alabama Food Bank serves 9 counties: Bibb, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Lamar, Marion, Pickens, Sumter, and Tuscaloosa. In every single one of those counties, there are neighbors who need our help.

Help us bridge the gap between surplus and need today. Click the link below to make a financial contribution and see exactly how far your dollar can go!

Breakfast for dinner, anyone? 🥞 A warm stack of pancakes is a comforting, kid-friendly favorite that brings the whole family around the table.

Right now, we’re running low on these simple, shelf-stable staples. We want to ensure every family in West Alabama has what they need to make easy, filling meals - whether it's for a busy morning or a fun breakfast-for-dinner night!

Next time you’re at the grocery store, please consider grabbing a box of "just add water" pancake mix, a bottle of syrup, and some chocolate chips to donate. Drop them off at our warehouse this week to help us stock the shelves and support our community!

Thank you for always showing up for your neighbors! 💛

For many of our neighbors in rural areas, the nearest grocery store is over 25 miles away. This lack of access makes putting fresh, healthy food on the table a daily struggle.

Our Mobile Pantry bridges that gap by delivering truckloads of fresh produce, proteins, and pantry staples directly to communities facing limited food access across West Alabama.

You can be the hope on wheels for these families.

As kids head back to school across West Alabama, we need to make sure they have the fuel they need to learn and grow. But for many students, the weekends mean missing out on reliable meals. Our Backpack Meals program bridges that gap, providing kid-friendly, nutritious food to take home on Friday afternoons.

Help us ensure no child in our community goes hungry this school year. For $140, you can help provide one child a meal every weekend for the entire school year! Click the link below to donate today!

School is officially back in session! 🎒 While families are checking off school supply lists, we’re focused on another essential: making sure no child goes hungry after the final bell rings.

Every single week, the West Alabama Food Bank packs over 2,000 meals for children across our community so they have food to take home for the weekend. But as the school year ramps up, so does the need.

Your monetary donation helps us purchase nutritious food in bulk, stretching every dollar further to feed more kids. Let’s make sure their backpacks are full of the fuel they need to learn, play, and grow.

Help us fight child hunger right here at home. 💛
