What a sweet story in The Northport Gazette about Collins-Riverside Intermediate School!

"Two weeks ago, students and teachers found handwritten notes around the school hallways that encouraged and complimented them. (Principal) Oden had written a thoughtful note for every student, faculty and staff member and substitute teacher.

Students then returned the kind gesture to their principal by leaving notes on Oden’s office door."

"(Fifth grade student Remie) said Riverside is 'the best school ever' since Mr. Oden knows all the students’ first and last names."

Thank you to Synovus and Tuscaloosa Education Foundation for hosting Taste the Possibilities, a fundraiser to support arts and STEM education in the Tuscaloosa County School System and Tuscaloosa City Schools!

This event featured our student musicians, vocalists, and visual artists. High school ambassadors welcomed guests, and food and nutrition students worked alongside local restaurants, serving food to guests.

This first-year event raised more than $102,000 for art, music, and STEM education in our community’s schools. Thank you to the organizers of Taste the Possibilities for creating a great event to celebrate the talents of our students and raise support for schools!
