COVID-19 changed the world, and the way we viewed and responded to our communities.

ions of African-Americans, Blacks and all minority populations. BABI Goals

BABI's founding goal was to effect positive change for young women and girls by providing them with the mental, physical, and spiritual resources they need while promoting healthy lifestyle choices. BABI's services have now expanded to focus on community health promotion, education, health advocacy, and building capacity for high quality, culturally sensitive, and linguistically appropriate access and prevention services that lead to better health outcomes for minorities and the larger community. Our lives changed and our communities were all affected like other organizations worldwide. The nature of our work changed drastically because of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. After canceling our Annual BABI Village Leadership Awards we started to use the blueprint that has been set before us to serve our Global Village. From the needs of our community members and from the actions of other organizations globally, we got inspired to response to our community's needs during this crisis. The Macon County Community Grassroots Task Force was developed to support an Authentic Collaborative Communication between all task forces and COVID-19 related activities from Tuskegee University, local government, churches, and community organizations.

Applications are LIVE! 2024 Is set to be a stellar year as we embark on the journey of building real relationships with and on the land. Participants will begin the journey together on the land to set the context for a powerful 4 months of activation.

Whether you decide to participate in the development of the land trust and aquire land with iLOGIC here in West Alabama (6 parcels available) or take these skills to the land that's calling you elsewhere. Participants will leave this experience with practical skills to bring about their dreams.

Empowering our Community Looks Like this. Helping you help to help your self.

BABI will assist any organization who wishes to gain Application for Recognition of Exemption Under Section 501(c)(3). The Fees for the Application is $800 and BABI will file the forms for $150 to all Macon County Residents with all the needed paperwork. $50 fee for all paperwork of 2 hours needed. $25 per hour for all other paperwork needed.
