The kittens who need foster homes the most are those under 2 pounds. These tiny kitties aren’t quite ready to care for themselves and need a safe, loving home while they grow.  Foster caregivers provide daily care, socialization, and lots of love until the kittens are old enough to eat on their own, regulate their body temperature, and return to the shelter ready to find their forever families.

Fanta and Silver had never met before, but after a successful introduction in play group, they were able to enjoy a walk together! 💛

🐾 PET OF THE WEEK 🐾 Kathy is a friendly 3-year-old Pit Bull who loves playing fetch! She’s built for adventure and is always up for a game of fetch or long walk. Chew toys and balls bring out her playful and loving personality, and she’ll perform her wiggle dance when she’s happy.
 
Kathy has been fantastic during her Dog’s Day Out Pilot Program adventures. She’s excited to meet new friends, both two-legged and four-legged, and has been a champ at letting everyone pet her. She knows basic commands and will gladly show them off.

🐾 Happy Tail Tuesday! 🐾 Leia has truly found her happily ever after! This princess settled into life with her new family and fur sibling, and it's safe to say she's been loving every minute of it. 💕

Her family wrote: We rescued Leia (formerly Bella) last year (May 2) and it has been a big journey for her. When we first rescued her, she had anxiety and some other issues that she had to battle through. It was hard on her too, having to share a space with our other rescue Koa, who we also adopted from OC Animal Care the year prior.

After some training and extra love, Leia slowly began to come out of her shell. She loves people and has fun playing with her adopted big brother Koa. Koa and Leia love each other so much, they are literally inseparable! Besides playing with Koa, she loves to cuddle, go on road trips, and is obsessed with dressing up.

Leia has been a blessing to us, and we all love her so much. We can’t wait to see what’s next for her and Koa.
