A significant risk of severe thunderstorms is currently affecting northwest Oklahoma this morning, with storms expected to travel southeastward throughout the day. The most intense cells may produce damaging wind gusts of 60 to 75 mph and hail up to golf ball size. Additionally, another round of severe thunderstorms is anticipated late evening into overnight, contingent upon the outcome of the initial round. The severity of tonight's weather is dependent on the extent of daytime thunderstorm activity, with greater severe weather risk if thunderstorms remain limited during the day. Stay aware and prepared!

06/23/2026

A complex of showers and thunderstorms is expected to develop tonight and persist into early Tuesday, potentially bringing strong to severe weather with primary threats including hail, gusty winds, lightning, and heavy rainfall across various areas. Ensure you have the means to receive warnings and prepare accordingly.

Use caution on the side roads while heading to work. Myself and the TFD Crew have been out since 2am clearing roads of debris and assisting residents with damaged buildings. Thankfully no injuries reported. Traffic lights were also out at Hwy 4 and 37 earlier. Not sure if they have been repaired as of yet. Drive safely!
