Today, the Twin Falls Fire Department honors the memory of the servicemen and women who gave their lives defending our country and protecting the freedoms we hold dear.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend — it is a day of reflection, remembrance, and gratitude for those who made the ultimate sacrifice. We also recognize the families who continue to carry the weight of that loss each day.

We encourage everyone to take a moment today to remember our fallen heroes and the legacy they left behind.

From all of us at the Twin Falls Fire Department, thank you to those who served and never came home. We will never forget.

In observance of Memorial Day, Twin Falls Fire Department Administrative office will be closed on Monday, May 25, 2026. This holiday is a time to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Due to limited staffing this week, response times for some non-emergency Fire Department administrative functions may be delayed. Emergency services will not be affected and will continue to operate as normal. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

We wish everyone a safe and reflective Memorial Day as we pay tribute to our nation’s heroes.

At approximately 7:47 p.m., a Twin Falls Police officer observed an adult male operating a motorcycle recklessly in the 100 Blk Washington St N.

Officers attempted to stop the motorcycle, but the rider fled at a high rate of speed into a residential area. Due to safety concerns, the officer terminated the pursuit.

A short time later, officers were notified of a motorcycle crash on the railroad tracks near Glanbia. Officers and first responders arrived at the scene and located the adult male rider who had fled from officers earlier. Witnesses stated they observed the male traveling at a high rate of speed alongside the railroad tracks.

The rider, a 34-year-old male, was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. He was transported by ambulance for medical treatment. The extent of his injuries is unknown at this time. Twin Falls Fire Department and Magic Valley Paramedics responded.

The crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

We are lucky to have some of our neighboring departments in town with their ladder trucks, getting some great training in! Crews will be out driving, training, and practicing truck set ups on different buildings all over the city. Thank you Jerome City Fire, Burley Fire, and Rock Creek Fire for participating!
