South Central Community Action Partnership SCCAP provides community and individual support services, advice and direction toward improving the economic and social well-being of all people.

SCCAP's mission is to provide a wide range of services in collaboration with community partners in an effort to help improve the quality of life for people with an economic disadvantage We believe that helping individuals to become financially stable helps strengthen the well-being of the entire community. We seek to bring out the best in people by promoting self-esteem and dignity. We use our res

Last week we celebrated eight families getting the keys to their homes at an Open House and Key Ceremony! SCCAP is so proud of the 8 families who successfully completed their homes in Jerome! Thank you to everyone in attendance and a huge shout out to our volunteers whom we without your support we could not do our builds.

Thank you to Senators Crapo and Risch for your support of the USDA Mutual Self-Help Housing program in Idaho keeping homes affordable!

Finally we can not go without recognizing our Housing Director Chad Whitaker , Asset Development Manager Jenny Vega and CFO Michelle who are the puzzle pieces put together that build the program.

This means more tools, more resources, and more opportunities for our community to thrive. Affordable Housing Expansion Across the Magic Valley:

The South-Central Community Action Partnership’s Mutual Self Help Housing Program has provided assistance to qualified families to build their own affordable housing since 2011.

On Monday August 17th, 2026, our Mutual Self Help Program will be having an Open House for Building Group 20 in Jerome Idaho. The Open House begins at 2:00 p.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m. located at 812 Bird Farm Drive Jerome, Idaho with the key ceremony at 3:00 p.m. This is the official day of move in for our families in Jerome after many months of hard work.

We then will jump right into our next project with our groundbreaking ceremony for our Mutual Self-Help Housing Building Group 21 in Buhl, Idaho at 4091 Williams Street Buhl Idaho at 4:00 p.m. where another six families will break ground to begin their homeownership journey in our program.

Come out and celebrate these wonderful expansions of Affordable homeownership opportunities across the Magic Valley with us!
