Thanks to the Magic Valley 9/11 Memorial Team for displaying 'The Patriot' flag above the Snake River Canyon each year in remembrance of Sept. 11. It take a lot of volunteers and time and community support to make this spectacular event happen. UPDATE: Lane reopening by 5 p.m. today. Repairs have been completed.

We're closing the outside southbound lane on Eastland Drive near South Temple Drive so our water crews can repair a broken waterline.

Boat ramp closures coming up for Idaho State Department of Agriculture to continue invasive Quagga Mussel eradication...

Access to the Snake River will remain open while the Idaho State Department of Agriculture continues to eradicate invasive Quagga Mussels. However, the Twin Falls and Shoshone Falls boat launches will temporarily close to allow ISDA crews to safely and efficiently complete the treatment.

Anticipated closures:

-Twin Falls Boat Launch: August 27 through September 5
- Shoshone Falls Boat Launch: September 6 through September 13

Too many homes watering yards at the same time overwhelms subdivision pump stations and reduces or eliminates water pressure.

Due to regional water curtailments, there is less water available to the pump stations and for irrigation. But residents can ensure adequate water and pressure for everyone by following the City Water Conservation Ordinance, including watering schedules and times.

The City of Twin Falls Water Department will repair a water service line near Filer Avenue and Blue Lake Boulevard starting at 6 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26. During repairs, the inside eastbound lane of Filer Avenue will be temporarily closed near the intersection with Blue Lakes Boulevard. City crews will return early Wednesday to make permanent repairs that are expected to be completed by 5 p.m. the same day. (A utility contractor struck the water line Tuesday afternoon and City Water Department crews made temporary repairs to prevent service disruption.)
