Great reminder from our Twin Falls Fire Department on how to be a good neighbor this Fourth of July...

With Independence Day approaching, we're reminding residents and visitors to prioritize safety and only use “Safe and Sane” fireworks during allowed times and days.

Firework vendors in the City of Twin Falls only sell “Safe and Sane” fireworks, which are legal to discharge in both the city and county between 8 a.m. and 12 a.m. (midnight) from June 23 through July 5.

Aerial fireworks -- including mortars, bottle rockets, roman candles and whizzbangers (okay, we stole that last one from a movie) -- are prohibited within the City limits. And our friends at the Twin Falls Police Department will be on the lookout for these.
