We are very grateful for the Magic Valley Humanitarian Center for the hygiene kits they provided for our program and the many years of service they give to our community. When a child first comes into care these hygiene kits are so helpful to get them by for the first couple of weeks.

There are many needs that our children have. If you interested in donating to our program please reach out.

In foster care, the child welfare system remains involved in a child's life, and the court continues to oversee decisions about the child's placement and future.

With guardianship, a trusted adult is given legal authority to care for the child long-term. The guardian can make important decisions about the child's education, healthcare, and daily life without ongoing involvement from the child welfare system. Guardianship is intended to be a lasting solution when reunification is not possible.

When guardianship is being considered for a child, CASA volunteers help ensure the court has a complete picture of the child's needs and best interests. Want to learn more?

Many people assume adoption is the only path to permanency if reunification is not an option, but that's not always the case.

Guardianship may be chosen when a child has strong family connections that everyone wants to preserve. It allows a trusted adult, often a grandparent or relative, to provide a stable, permanent home while maintaining the child's legal relationship with their parents.

Every child is unique. The goal isn't one specific outcome. it's finding the permanency option that best supports a child's safety, stability, and sense of belonging.

Because permanency can look different for every child.

There is something special about Christine. She truly believes it takes a village to raise a child, and she goes above and beyond to be part of that village for so many children and families in our community.

After a 33-year career in finance, Christine became a CASA volunteer and has now been advocating for children for more than four years. To some of the children and families she serves, she is affectionately known as "Miss Queen"—a testament to the love, support, and trust she brings to every relationship.

When asked about her most meaningful experiences as a CASA volunteer, Christine shared:

"Building relationships with both the children and their biological parents has been the most rewarding part of this work. My views don't always align with the parents, but they know I care about their children and respect what I do. Because of that, they are often willing to open up and work toward positive change."

Thank you, Christine, for your unwavering commitment, your advocacy, and for loving others so well. We are grateful for the difference you make every day.

Approximately 65%-75% of children and teens in the Idaho foster care system will reunify with their family. Idaho has a high percentage than the nation average. Reunification is the most common permanency outcome for child in care as it should be because that is the goal of foster care.

It is important to note that behind every statistic is a child, a family, and a community working toward healing and stability. We want families to be successful. We want children and teens to experience safety and permanency.

At CASA, we are honored to walk alongside children as they journey toward safe and permanent homes.

Home is more than a place.....it's connection, identity, and belonging.

Research consistently shows that children do best when they can safely remain connected to their families and communities. That's why reunification is the primary goal in almost all of foster care cases.

Every successful reunification represents months of hard work by parents, children, caseworkers, service providers, attorneys, judges, foster families, and CASA volunteers working toward one shared goal: a safe and stable future.

If you would like more information on how you can be a part of this process please reach out.

We are so grateful for all the ladies at for supporting CASA’s mission and raising money for children and teens in foster care. The community showed up to show their support as well. We are grateful for you!

CASA’s mission statement: “Our CASA Program supports and promotes court-appointed volunteer advocacy so every child who has experienced child abuse can be safe, have a permanent home, and the opportunity to thrive.“

We here at CASA are always looking for new volunteers but as Onyx Spa has shown us there are so many ways to show up for the children in our community. Please reach out if you feel the desire to volunteer or to support our mission in another way.

06/08/2026

When children enter foster care, the goal is to help families heal and safely reunite them together again. Reunification happens when a child can safely return home to their parent or caregiver after the circumstances that brought the family into the child welfare system have been addressed.

This journey takes hard work, support, accountability, and commitment from everyone involved. When reunification can happen safely, it gives children the opportunity to maintain important family connections and grow up with the people they know and love.

At CASA, we advocate for the best interests of children while supporting safe, lasting permanency for every child.
