๐Ÿ“ข Reminder to Pet Owners: Please Keep Dogs on a Leash

We love seeing your furry friends enjoying Twin Oaks Park, but we need to remind all pet owners that dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.

While your dog might be perfectly behaved and have excellent recall, keeping them leashed ensures a safe and comfortable environment for everyone in our community.

Why this rule is strictly enforced:
๐Ÿ•โ€๐Ÿฆบ Safety First: Off-leash dogs can easily startle walkers, runners, young children, or other leashed pets who may not welcome a surprise greeting.

๐Ÿ•โ€๐Ÿฆบ Protecting Wildlife & Landscaping: Twin Oaks Park is home to plenty of wildlife (and the occasional hard-working landscaping goat!). A leash keeps your pup from chasing animals or trampling delicate park greenery.

๐Ÿ•โ€๐Ÿฆบ Itโ€™s the Law: To keep our public spaces safe and enjoyable for all two-legged and four-legged visitors alike, the local leash ordinance must be followed.

Thank you for your cooperation in keeping Twin Oaks Park beautiful and safe for everyone! ๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿ•

Our goat mowing crew has been working hard in the park all week, but over the weekend, a few of them decided to stage a daring "Great Escape." ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’จ

Luckily, Twin Oaks has its very own goat-whisperer. Assistant Clerk Paula Dries jumped into action, and with the help of the goats' owner, tracked down the fugitives, and successfully wrangled them back to their enclosure before they could start their own landscaping franchise.

Because sheโ€™s officially the Greatest Of All Time at handling goat-related chaos, she is the recipient of our inaugural Twin Oaks G.O.A.T. Staff Award. ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ†

Way to go, Paula! Not all heroes wear capesโ€”some just carry a flash light and a leash.

Swing by the park to see the goats before they head out next week; theyโ€™ve promised to stay behind the fence, but weโ€™ve got Paula on speed dial just in case.

Good news: The geese have moved on, so the fish are back on the menu! ๐ŸŽฃ (Metaphorically speaking, of course... please don't eat them. ๐Ÿ˜…)

The deterrent grid did its work to keep geese from nesting, and we are happy to announce that the temporary fishing ban is officially LIFTED.

A few reminders to keep the park "reel" nice for everyone:

๐ŸŸ Catch & Release Only: Our lake is home to koi; please ensure they stay in the water and nothing is removed from the park grounds.

๐Ÿšถ Share the Space: Be cognizant of walkers and other park-goers when casting your lines. Letโ€™s keep those hooks away from the walking paths!

๐ŸŒธ Protect the Landscape: Please stay off the rocks and out of the flower beds. There are plenty of great spots to fish without climbing on the scenery.

Thanks for helping us keep Twin Oaks beautiful. โœจ
