Customers on 10th 11th and 12th Avenues will likely experience low water pressure until sometime on Saturday, May 16 due to an unanticipated water main break. Our crews are working as quickly and safely as they can to make the necessary repairs. Water is safe for consumption.

Yesterday, the Two Harbors Municipal Airport-Helgeson Field Terminal Building Construction was awarded Project of the year for Intermediate Large General Aviation Airport by Minnesota Council of Airports. This is a tremendous honor. We are extremely grateful to Silas Parmar, Bolton & Menk, the City’s engineer; Stacey Harter and Carlie Kemp of DSGW Architects for design and Project oversight; Greg Gargano and John Stilwell of Max gray Construction, the contractor for the project, Airport Manager, Casey Komarek and City Finance Director, Miranda Pietila. These folks worked diligently to make this project happen. This was fully funded by the Bi Partisan Infrastructure Grant and MnDOT. This is an incredible asset to the community, which will not only be used for recreation, but also for economic development and governmental use, as well.

We are aware of the current electrical outage. Our crews have reported that it is due to ice accumulation on power lines. They are working on repairs. They have advised us that we should anticipate more outages throughout the day due to the weather conditions. We appreciate your patience as our crews work to safely and efficiently make repairs.

At this time we do not have an estimate for when the power will be back on.
