Two Harbors Fire Department The Two Harbors Volunteer Fire Department has been in existence for over 100 years, serving the Two Harbors/Lake County area.

Our service area spans 580 square miles. The Department is made up of 23 volunteer firefighters and a fleet of six fire trucks.

Our past three training nights have been devoted to a structure that we were fortune enough to be able to use.

This structure provided multiple training opportunities for room and contents fires, rapid response drills, low visibility training, SCBA use, communication training, and so much more.

Tonight was our final night of use of the structure. We finished off our series of training by doing a burn down of the structure, with additional training of exposure protection, apparatus pump training, aerosol fire fighting device deployment, and fire behavior education/examination.

Although this is a process to get proper permitting to allow us to do this, having real life and hands on scenario training is so incredibly valuable to our team of firefighters.
