The Water Department has begun flushing hydrants on the East side of the city, in the areas of Pilon Ct to 33rd St. Signs (as pictured below) will be placed near the areas where the flushing is occurring.

Flushing hydrants is an important process to help clean and maintain our water distribution system. During this time residents may experience low water pressure and discolored water. We recommend to wait to use the water until our crews have left the area. If you do have discolored water after they are out of the area, you may flush your service with COLD water until it runs clear.

💦 Your Water Dollars at Work: Investing in City Infrastructure 💦

Good progress is being made on the public water supply reservoir improvement project.

Over the past week, crews completed the inspection, cleaning, and disinfection of the reservoir, which can hold 2 million gallons of treated drinking water. The new overflow piping is now installed, and the reservoir is currently being refilled.

The good news? The inspection confirmed that the reservoir remains in very good condition, requiring no significant repairs beyond the planned overflow improvements.

While most residents never see this infrastructure, it plays a critical role in our community every day. The reservoir helps maintain water pressure, provides reserve water storage for emergencies, supports firefighting operations, and helps the City meet peak water demands during high-use periods.

Thank you to our Utility crews for their work on this important project as we continue investing in the reliable infrastructure that keeps Two Rivers running.

6/3/2026: RESERVOIR PROJECT UPDATE:
The Reservoir Project is completed and the water pressure for the affected areas will return back to normal by 2:00pm today.
_____________________

**NORTH SIDE WATER RESERVOIR PROJECT UPDATE**
The reservoir is being drained and the inspection process will begin Tuesday, May 26th and continue through the week.

As part of the inspection process, the 2-million-gallon reservoir will be drained and taken offline. Once emptied, the reservoir will be inspected, cleaned, chlorinated, and returned to service. The
entire process is expected to take about 10 days. There could be a small reduction in water pressure for North side residents during this process. The reservoir is expected to be back to normal operations on June 5th.

During this time, crews will address the existing issue related to the current overflow pipe configuration. This correction will involve installing a new overflow pipe on the west side of the reservoir.
