🏴‍☠️⚓ Ahoy, 4th Grade! 📚✨

Our 4th-grade students took a trip to the Savannah Children’s Theatre to enjoy Pirates from Grammar Island! 🎭🌴☠️

This fun-filled musical brought grammar to life as students sailed through lessons on parts of speech, punctuation, and sentence structure with catchy songs, hilarious pirate characters, and plenty of laughs along the way! 🎶😂📝

Who knew nouns, verbs, commas, and sentences could be such an adventure?! 🗺️✏️🏴‍☠️ At TIMA, learning goes far beyond the classroom—and sometimes it even comes with pirates! ⚓💙

🌊⚓️💡 First Grade Learning is SHINING Bright 💡⚓️🌊

Our first graders are exploring extreme weather and discovering how light and sound can be used to keep people safe!⛈️🌪️🌊

What better place to see those concepts in action than the Tybee Island Lighthouse?! 🏖️🔦

Students got a firsthand look at the incredible Fresnel lens, which concentrates light so it can be seenmore than 18 miles away!🤯✨

They also learned about the lighthouse’s fog horn 📣—another important tool used to signal ships when visibility is limited.

Our first graders saw how light and sound work together to communicate danger and help keep people safe during extreme weather! 🌧️🚢⚓️

Nothing beats taking classroom learning out into our own incredible coastal community! 💙🌊

📚✨ A VERY SPECIAL STORY TIME AT TIMA!✨📚

TIMA had the pleasure of welcoming Savannah local Southern Britt to campus today! 💙🌊

Southern wrote a children’s book inspired by her time as a UGA cheerleader ❤️🖤📣🐾 — and she stopped by to share it with some of our youngest readers!

Our Kindergarten and 1st grade students were treated to a special reading from the author herself! 📖🤩

What a wonderful opportunity to connect reading, storytelling, creativity, and a little Georgia spirit! 🐶❤️

A HUGE thank you to Southern for spending time with our students and being today's mystery reader! 🥰📚✨

🪱🌱 TODAY WAS WORM DAY IN KINDERGARTEN! 🌱🪱

Our little scientists got up close and personal with some VERY wiggly friends today! 🔍👀 Kindergarten has been learning all about worms and the important role they play in our compost bins—helping turn food scraps into wonderful, nutrient-rich soil! ♻️🌎🌿

Today, students investigated LIVE worms and put their science skills to work! 🧑‍🔬👩‍🔬 They looked closely, drew detailed diagrams ✏️, measured how long their worms were 📏, and described how they felt and moved! 🪱〰️

And of course… a few lucky worms even received their very own names! 😂🥰🪱

Hands-on science + composting + some new wiggly friends = a pretty amazing day in Kindergarten! 💚🌱♻️

🌊🎣 Learning comes to life on the Savannah River!🐟🦀

TIMA’s 2nd graders spent the afternoon with Mr. Klaras exploring what we can catch at the mouth of the Savannah River! 🔍🌊 As part of their studies, students are learning how the Creek tribes relied on the river as an important source of food and how our local waterways have supported communities for generations. 🐟🦐🌿

There’s nothing better than taking learning beyond the classroom and straight to the source! 💙☀️

Our talented 2nd graders put their art skills to work creating beautiful watercolor maps of Georgia 🍑🎨 while showcasing what they’ve learned about our state’s regions and rivers! 🌊⛰️🌲
