I want to take a moment to sincerely thank every supporter, volunteer, and friend who stood with us throughout this campaign.

From the very beginning, we were committed to running a campaign rooted in positivity and truth—and we stayed true to that plan every step of the way. This effort was powered by people from all across Tyler who care deeply about the future of our community.

While this chapter has come to a close, the work for Tyler continues. With a runoff ahead, I encourage every voter to take the time to truly learn about the two remaining candidates—look at their values, their priorities, and their vision for our city.

Strong leadership matters, and the decisions ahead will shape how our city council serves Tyler in the years to come.

Thank you again for the encouragement, the conversations, and the belief in what we set out to do. It has been an honor.

- James Wynne

A Weekend of Progress and Community in Tyler

This past weekend was a powerful reminder of why I love calling Tyler home. From historic milestones to community celebrations, the vibrant spirit and heart of our people were on full display across the city.

It was an honor to be part of four incredible events that highlight exactly what makes our community so special:

• The Future of Healthcare: I was incredibly proud to support the opening of the UT Tyler School of Medicine. This isn’t just a new building; it’s a monumental investment in the long-term health and economic vitality of East Texas.

• Celebrating Our Youth: It was a beautiful day at Bergfeld Park for the Día del Niño Fest. Seeing our community come together to appreciate our cultural diversity and invest in the future of our children is what Tyler is all about.

• Supporting Our Heroes: I had a great time at Faulkner Park cheering on our first responders during the Battle of the Badges. Thank you to everyone who came out to support the Children’s Advocacy Center of Smith County.

• Honoring Innovation: We capped things off at the Rose Garden for the Tyler Metro Chamber Image Awards & Gala. As a small business owner for 35 years, I was inspired by celebrating the trailblazers who keep our local economy strong.

Whether at the ballpark, the Rose Garden, or the halls of a new medical school, the beautiful people of Tyler continue to prove that when we work together, our potential is limitless. Thank you for a weekend I won't soon forget.

Building a strong future for Tyler takes a team that believes in the vision.

I am deeply honored to have the support of those who have led our city before—including 3 former Mayors and 11 former City Council members. Their confidence in my plan for our infrastructure, public safety, and smart growth means the world to me.

But of all the endorsements I’ve received, there is one that stands above the rest: the support of my mother. Knowing she headed to the polls this past Tuesday to cast her vote for me is the greatest endorsement I could ever ask for.

Leadership is about more than just policy; it’s about the values we learn at home and the commitment we make to the generations coming after us. With the wisdom of our former leaders and the blessing of the woman who raised me, I am ready to lead Tyler forward.

Let’s build a better Tyler, together.

04/24/2026

Building a better Tyler starts with a solid foundation. 🌹 From the ground up, we are focused on the core pillars that will keep our community thriving for generations to come:
•. Infrastructure & Water: Committing to the essential water and wastewater upgrades that protect our city’s health and future growth.
•. Public Safety: Providing unwavering support for the Tyler Police and Fire Departments to keep our families safe.
•. Traffic Improvements: Prioritizing smarter road planning and signal synchronization to ease congestion.
•. Smart Growth & Heritage: Managing our success with sustainable development while fiercely protecting the unique charm of the Rose City.
•. Dedicated City Employees: Championing the hardworking professionals who keep Tyler moving forward every day.
•. Education Partnerships: Collaborating with local institutions like TISD, TJC, and UT Tyler to create pathways for the next generation of leaders.

The future of Tyler starts today. Let’s lead with a vision that respects our heritage while building a modern, vibrant city for everyone.
