A life truth we teach every year:

“We either win or we learn.”

We teach our kids that there is never a loss when we try.

Does our mind tell us negative thoughts as we try something new? Maybe so!

How do we combat those negative thoughts? Refute with TRUTH!

Q: Am I really bad at xyz?
A: no.
I'm only losing/terrible/bad at something if don't try or I avoid a new thing.
I am trying. I am working hard to listen and grow.
Therefore, I am just new at this. New is not bad. It's new.

So when those thoughts come, let's stop and hit it intentionally with TRUTH.

We are new.
We are faithful.
We are teachable.
We are attentive.
We are learning.

We are not bad.

"We either win or we learn."

Take those thoughts captive, friends.

Happy new year of learning hard things!
