Another great evening we had Thursday evening celebrating our August birthdays! A great crowd, a festive atmosphere, food and birthday cake were enjoyed by all. We are always inspired and encouraged by Brother Buie’s anointed prayer of blessing.
We love to welcome new friends and enjoy the connections and conversations around the tables.
Thank you to Kim Leuba and her excellent team for setting up and serving with a smile.
Thank you to Gary Thorpe and Elaine Ann Manley Riley for facilitating the Bingo game. Our winners received some great gift cards.
We also enjoyed meeting Carol Green (sister of Sue Comstock) who is with Youth With A Mission. She gave an inspiring and challenging report on the need for Bible translations for unreached people groups (even in the United States). Pastor Darryl led us in a special prayer for this urgent need.

See you next month.

WHEN WE PRAY

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

MARK 11:24
Don't underestimate the power of prayer in your life today.

When you pray, God can do the unexpected.

When you pray, He can move mountains that seem impossible to budge.

When you pray, He can heal diseases that doctors say are incurable.

When you pray, God can save souls that seem unreachable.

When you pray, He can make a way where there appears to be no way.

Prayer isn't your last resort—it’s your first response. It's not about twisting God's arm to get what you want. It's about aligning your heart with His will and watching Him work miracles.

When you pray with faith, believing you've already received what you've asked for according to His will, mountains move.

God can restore, reconcile, and redeem anyone and anything when we pray.

Don't underestimate prayer. God can restore, reconcile, and redeem anything.

Last but not least this Dinner for 14 spent their evening at Ricky and Tracy Shubert‘s beautiful home. Such a great group of friends enjoying the evening together. They were having so much fun and didn’t take pictures, but we wanted to share these photos of them!

What a great time our Dinner for 11 was at Wayne and Susie Tompkins home! From the moment you walked in, you felt welcomed. Wayne gave a tour of the Stables and introduced the group to his horses….Abby and Kitty.
The meal was delicious and included baked Lemon Chicken, roasted veggies, cilantro rice, green beans, a yummy salad and Susie’s homemade rolls! There was so many desserts to choose from it was hard to make a decision…perhaps a little of each!🤣
There is something so special about sitting around a table with friends, including some new friends, that you find yourself leaning in as each one shared a bit about themselves.
That’s how relationships are made by spending quality time together. ❤️
We ended the evening by sharing prayer requests and left full. Full of good food, wonderful company and hearts full of thankfulness and the joy of the LORD. Wayne and Susie thank you for inviting us into your lovely home!

Hosting our RH Senior Adults “Dinner for 8” is always such a treat! Tonight we were joined by a few of our Singles group, and we all agreed the fellowship was truly a blessing function.
We enjoyed seeing the view from the high rise as we ate a delicious entree of BBQ ribs and all the wonderful trimmings everyone brought to share, finishing the meal with a warm homemade peach cobbler (by yours truly) and a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
The table was filled with stories, laughter, and meaningful conversation as we got to know one another better. We shared plenty of belly laughs and were reminded once again how precious Christian friendship and fellowship truly are.
To top it all off, God blessed us with a beautiful sunset, providing the perfect ending to a wonderful evening with friends.
A full table, full hearts, full stomachs, and plenty of laughter—what a wonderful evening indeed. Looking forward to the next “Dinner for 8”! Hostess and photographer Evelyn Cook thank you so much for hosting!

What a wonderful July Birthday Celebration we had last Thursday evening! The rain didn’t keep us away. We had a record crowd. Lots of laughter, a great brisket meal with the fixin’s (even Whataburger hamburgers IYKYK), and birthday cake and Bluebell ice cream. We always are inspired and encouraged by Brother Buie’s anointed prayer of blessing.
We always love to welcome new friends and enjoy the connections and conversations around the tables.
Thank you to Kim Leuba and her excellent team for providing a festive atmosphere and serving with a smile.
Thank you to Gary Thorpe and Ronnie Pyron for facilitating the Bingo game. Our winners received some great gift cards.
Thank you, Pastor Darryl, for providing a fun evening for us. You go above and beyond and we appreciate it.
See you next month.

“From the Garden of Eden to the New Jerusalem, God has been writing a love story of redeeming grace.

Song of Solomon gives us a glimpse of that story through the love of a king for his bride—but the greater King is Jesus, and greater Bride is His Church. Until He Comes, may we love Him more each day and live in joyful anticipation of hearing Him say, ‘Come up hither.’” Pastor Darryl

“We shall see the King
we shall see the King
we shall see the King when he comes
He's coming in power,
we'll hail the blessed hour
we shall see the King when he comes

O my brother (sister) are you ready for the call
to crown your Savior King and Lord of all
the kingdoms of this world will soon before him fall
We shall see the King when he comes.”
