⚠️ WEATHER ALERT – PLEASE STAY WEATHER AWARE TONIGHT ⚠️
As strong storms move toward Tylertown and Walthall County this evening into tonight, we want to remind everyone to stay alert and prepared. Almost a year ago, our community experienced the devastating tornado that tore through Walthall County and the 4th District, leaving behind destruction, damaged homes, and heartbreaking loss of life. Many families are still rebuilding and healing from that night. Events like that remind us just how quickly severe weather can change lives.

Please take tonight’s storms seriously:

• Have a way to receive weather alerts while you sleep
• Know where your safe place is in your home
• Charge your phones and devices
• Be ready to take shelter if warnings are issued

We share this not to cause fear, but to remind everyone how important it is to be prepared and stay aware.
Let’s look out for one another and keep our community safe.

Fire truck being pump tested.
Each year about this time, all our county Fire Departments have their pumper trucks tested to meet the requirements of Ms Rating Bureau.
These tests are required to be able to maintain the rating class that Insurance companies use to determine the cost of homeowners insurance.
These volunteers do all they can to serve their communities.
A dedicated group of people donating their time for their neighbors.
