Summer storms can develop quickly, bringing heavy rain, damaging winds, dangerous lightning and even tornados. Make sure you have multiple ways to receive alerts and know where to take shelter before severe weather arrives.

Rain 🌧️ is in the forecast across parts of Oklahoma through the weekend, and while widespread flooding isn't expected, localized heavy rainfall can quickly cause flash flooding on roads and low-water crossings.

⚠️ Before heading out, check local forecasts and stay weather aware this weekend. If you encounter water covering a roadway, don't take the chance.

The depth and condition of the road underneath may not be visible, and it only takes a small amount of moving water to sweep away a vehicle.
