Our Firefighters have been busy recently. Tyrone Fire hosted a county wide burn building training along with Pinos Altos Volunteer Fire Rescue. These trainings help our firefighters understand fire behavior in a structure. Thank you to the Silver City Fire Department for allowing us to burn in their burn building.

The last few weeks our firefighters have been training on a forcible entry prop that was borrowed from Whiskey Creek VFD. Forcible entry is a crucial skill our firefighters should be proficient at and regularly train on.

Tyrone Volunteer Fire & Rescue covers 1,400 square miles with 5 main stations and 1 substation. In those 1,400 square miles, Tyrone Fire covers medical and fire responses along with many other public service calls.
