🚨 Tractor Rollover – Taylor Township 🚨

At 14:39 hours, Station 36 was dispatched on a 15-36 Box Alarm Assignment for a reported tractor rollover involving an 80-year-old male.

Engine Rescue 36 went en route at 14:47 hours and arrived on scene at 14:57 hours, following Engine Tanker 15. Assistant 36 (Brower) served as OIC of Engine Rescue 36, while Deputy 36 (Reese) responded directly to the scene.

Upon arrival, the individual had already been removed from underneath the tractor and moved inside the residence. Assistant Chief 36-2 (Chronister) began patient care until Moshannon Valley EMS arrived and assumed primary care.

Due to the nature of the incident, Allegheny LifeFlight was placed in the air and Fowler Grove LZ was established for the incoming aircraft. Chronister accompanied the EMS crew in the ambulance, assisting with patient care during transport from the residence to the landing zone.

Engine Rescue 36 and Deputy 36 relocated to Fowler Grove LZ, where crews prepared and secured the landing zone for the incoming helicopter.

Allegheny LifeFlight landed at 15:42 hours, where the patient was transferred from Moshannon Valley EMS to the flight crew. LifeFlight departed at 15:48 hours for Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.

All Station 36 units cleared the incident at 15:55 hours.

We thank all responding agencies and personnel for their assistance and teamwork throughout the incident.

🚨 Motor Vehicle Crash – Interstate 99 🚨
2026 Call #194

At 19:07 hours, Station 36 and Department 31 were dispatched on a 99-10 Box Alarm Assignment for a reported motor vehicle crash on Interstate 99 near Mile Marker 54.

Engine Rescue 36 and Squad 36 responded at 19:09 hours, just 2 minutes after dispatch, and arrived on scene at 19:14 hours.

Squad 36 arrived first, finding a single vehicle in the roadway with a large debris field. The driver had self-extricated prior to crews’ arrival. Engine Rescue 36 arrived shortly after and assisted with patient care and debris cleanup. Assistant Chief 36-2 Chronister assumed command, with Rescue 33 and Engine 34 also responding to assist.

The patient was placed in the care of EMS at 19:20 hours, just 6 minutes after fire crews arrived. EMS departed at 19:28 hours and arrived at UPMC Altoona at 19:54 hours.

The vehicle had traveled from the southbound lanes, crossed the median/embankment, and came to rest in the northbound lanes. Thankfully, no additional vehicles were involved and no other injuries were reported.

All units remained on scene until the vehicle was removed and the debris field was cleared. Pennsylvania State Police assisted with the investigation.

Great work by all crews involved. The quick response and teamwork between all responding agencies helped bring the incident to a safe conclusion.

🚨MVC Heavy Truck - Interstate 99 Southbound🚨

At 14:22 hours, Station 36 was dispatched for a reported motor vehicle collision involving a heavy truck on Box Alarm 99-9. While responding to a reported tree down on Hover Lane, Squad 36 was diverted to the higher-priority incident.

Squad 36 arrived on scene at Interstate 99 Southbound, Mile Marker 50.4, to find a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle with minor rear-end damage.

Assistant Chief 36-02 (Chronister) assumed I-99 Command. Rescue 33 also responded and shut down one southbound lane to provide a safe work area for emergency personnel.

AMED EMS responded to the scene and evaluated both drivers. Both occupants refused medical treatment after reporting no injuries.

The Pennsylvania State Police arrived and completed their investigation. Once the investigation was complete and the vehicles were cleared from the roadway, all responding units returned to service without further incident.

Units cleared the scene at 15:49 hours.
