The bags were flying at the 33 House yesterday afternoon!!! We want to thank everyone that supported our first ever Hookies Corn Hole Tournament yesterday 8/29. It was a great turnout with 16 teams registering to compete. It was an 100% payout with first place winning $320, second place winning $220 & third place taking home $100. First place winner was the team “Bag Girls”, Second place team was “Matt & Zach” & third place team was “Cove Corn Hole”. Everyone had a great time we hope to continue this event in the future. As always we greatly appreciate all the support our fire company receives!! Thank You everyone!!!!

Tomorrow is the day!!! The Hookies very first Corn Hole Tournament is happening. Help us make this a very successful event & make it an annual event!!! Bring a team & have some fun or just come watch & enjoy some food along with chances to win by rip tickets or win one of our 15 baskets from the basket raffle that will also be happening. We really hope to see you there!! Registration is at 12pm & bags fly at 1pm.

With another beautiful day this past Sunday 8/23 a few of the members took the Engine & Tower to Reservoir Park to flow some water thru the Tower & to try out our new set of stacked tips for the bucket monitor. The tips worked perfect giving the water flow more distance with a straighter stream. Our Engine which is our oldest rig being a 1987 supplied the Tower which is our newest rig being a 2025. Both complimented each other perfectly!!

Any assistance in finding a missing local man is greatly appreciated. Last seen on Monday 8/24. His dog was found loose in the area of the nature trail between the Tyrone Area High School & Penn Highlands Tyrone Hospital. Please contact the local authorities with any information.

Last week the last part of equipment purchased with 2026 state grant money arrived, the equipment being our Mercedes attack line hose. We purchased 1.75” & 2.5” sized hose in 4 different colors. Tonight a few members gathered at the station to start swapping out the old attack lines on both Rescue 33 & Tower 33. Each attack line is packed with 200’ of hose with the exception of our long line which is 300’ coming off the back of Rescue 33. We do have 2000 ft of 4” large diameter Mercedes supply line on order which will all be swapped out on the Rescue & Tower. We want to thank everyone that help support our dedicated volunteers!!!

Congratulations to Arabella, the young lady from Florida that completed one of her runs for running4heroes.org here in Tyrone. She has been selected to advance and will be running for a September 11th event. We wish her and her family the best and congratulate her on this accomplishment.
