Because the long duration of dry weather has created extreme hazardous conditions for potential fires throughout Poinsett County, County Judge Carter has issued a BURN BAN effective today, August 14, 2026, until further notice.

Just a reminder that Welch Sanitation will be picking garbage up tomorrow, Tuesday, August 4th. They will pick garbage up every Tuesday. Please share and remind your neighbors.

Welch Hauling is delivering new trash cans today. They will not begin picking up the trash until the first week in August. Dedman will continue picking up the trash until the end of July, please continue using Dedmans can for July 23rd and July 30th trash pick up. Welch Hauling will start picking up trash on TUESDAY, August 4th, please have cans out before 6 am on TUESDAYS.
