👉 VCOS cares deeply about your mental health. 💛🧑‍🚒
On World Mental Health Day, we honor the late Chief Chuck Flynn, who reminded us: “It is time we acknowledge and truly understand the ongoing emotional impact our public safety role has on our health, well-being, and relationships. After all, sometimes lives depend on it.”
His hope for the VCOS Yellow Ribbon Report continues to guide us—sparking conversations, reducing stigma, and strengthening support across the fire and emergency services.

The VCOS Gold Ribbon Report signals a new era as NERIS replaces NFIRS as the nation’s fire service data hub. Fire chiefs will now have access to critical performance metrics to enhance firefighter safety and better serve our communities.

Adopting NERIS means more efficient, coordinated, and effective emergency response. It’s an investment in the safety and well-being of everyone. Let’s build a stronger, more resilient emergency response system—together! https://www.iafc.org/topics-and-tools/resources/resource/vcos-gold-ribbon-report-utilizing-data-in-emergency-response-neris
