The Bingham Township Fire Department is looking for your help in preserving the memories and history of our department.

We are asking the community to share current and historical photos of:
🔥 Firefighters and department members
🚒 Apparatus and equipment
📚 Training and certifications
🤝 Community events and outreach
📸 Any special memories involving the Bingham Township Fire Department

These photos will become part of the Villages Time Capsule, which will be re-sealed at the end of July and saved for future generations to enjoy.

Whether it’s a photo from years ago or a recent memory, every picture helps tell the story of our department and the people who have proudly served our community.

Please submit your photos to any department member or send them to us through Messenger.

A Blast from the Past! 🚒📸

One of the highlights of this year’s 2026 Ubly Homecoming was the unveiling of the Village of Ubly Time Capsule, which was originally buried in 2000.

Among the items preserved inside was a history of the Bingham Township Fire Department, along with photographs capturing the department’s members, equipment, and memories throughout the years leading up to 2000.

It’s incredible to look back and see how far our department and community have come while honoring the firefighters who dedicated their time and service before us. These photos serve as a reminder that our history is built on generations of volunteers committed to protecting Bingham Township.

We are excited to share these blasts from the past with our community. Take a look through the photos and see if you recognize any familiar faces, trucks, or memories!

⚠️ Air Quality Alert – Protect Yourself from Wildfire Smoke ⚠️

Smoke from the Canadian wildfires is affecting air quality across our region. Even if you can’t smell the smoke, fine particles in the air can still pose health risks.

Wildfire smoke can cause:
• Coughing or sore throat
• Burning eyes
• Shortness of breath
• Worsening asthma or COPD symptoms
• Increased risk of heart and lung complications

Those most at risk include children, older adults, pregnant individuals, and anyone with heart or lung disease.

How to protect yourself:
🚒 Limit outdoor activities, especially strenuous exercise.
🏠 Keep windows and doors closed when air quality is poor.
🌬️ Run your air conditioning on recirculate or use a HEPA air purifier if available.
😷 If you must be outdoors for an extended period, consider wearing a properly fitted N95 respirator.
💧 Stay hydrated and monitor local air quality conditions.

If you experience severe difficulty breathing, chest pain, or other serious symptoms, seek medical attention immediately.

Please take these conditions seriously and check on family members, neighbors, and anyone who may be more vulnerable.

🇺🇸 Happy 4th of July Weekend! 🇺🇸

As we celebrate our nation’s independence, the members of the Bingham Township Fire Department would like to wish everyone a safe and happy Fourth of July weekend!

Whether you’re spending time with family and friends, enjoying a parade, firing up the grill, or watching fireworks, please remember to celebrate responsibly.

A few safety reminders:

* 🎆 Leave fireworks to responsible adults and follow all local laws.
* 🔥 Keep a bucket of water or a hose nearby when using fireworks or enjoying a bonfire.
* 🍔 Never leave grills unattended.
* 🚗 Don’t drink and drive—plan for a safe ride home.
* 🚒 In an emergency, call 911 immediately.

🇺🇸🚒 Ubly Homecoming Parade 2026! 🚒🇺🇸

What a fantastic day representing the Bingham Township Fire Department at the 2026 Ubly Homecoming Parade!

It was an honor to be part of this great community tradition alongside our friends, families, and of course, Sparky the Fire Dog! Thank you to everyone who came out to wave, cheer, and support all of the organizations that make our community so special.

We are proud to serve the residents of Bingham Township, Sheridan Township and the Village of Ubly. Events like Homecoming remind us how fortunate we are to be part of such a supportive and close-knit community.

A special thank you to all of our members and their families who volunteered their time to help make today’s parade as well as homecoming as a whole a success. We hope everyone had a wonderful Homecoming weekend!
