Behind every scholarship is a student with dreams, determination, and potential. Thanks to the generosity of local donors and the dedication of 116 volunteers who reviewed more than 800 applications, those dreams are becoming opportunities.

✨ What an afternoon ✨

This week, we gathered for our annual Board Picnic to celebrate the people whose leadership and stewardship have shaped our Foundation: past and present board members, dedicated staff, and our inspiring advisory council.

With incredible cuisine from Cultivo - Farm to Table and the stunning setting and wines of Nelson Family Vineyards, the afternoon was a beautiful reminder that our greatest strength is the people who care deeply about this community and invest in its future.

🌸✨ 300+ community members. One shared mission. Big impact.

This spring, 100+ Women Strong Inland Mendo and 100 Women Strong Mendocino Coast raised a record-breaking $45,000 for local nonprofits across Mendocino County! 🎉

The best part? Every dollar raised goes directly to participating nonprofit organizations, creating meaningful impact right here in our community. 🙌

A huge thank you to every donor, volunteer, and attendee who made it possible. Together, we are creating change, one gathering at a time. 💙

Exciting News for the future of leadership in Mendocino County🌿

North Coast Opportunities, Inc. and the Community Foundation of Mendocino County are partnering to guide Leadership Mendocino into its next chapter.

Together with alumni and community partners, the Community Foundation is building toward a 2027 relaunch with expanded access and new opportunities for emerging leaders across our region.

Since 1992, the program has inspired more than 800 local leaders—and we’re especially grateful to the steering committee members, whose passion and leadership have stewarded this vision.

The Community Foundation of Mendocino County was honored to celebrate the first two of our regional Grantee Receptions—bringing together the incredible people and organizations helping our communities thrive. 💙

Because of the generosity of our donors, advisors, volunteers, and nonprofit partners, we celebrated more than $2.3 M in grants this year across Mendocino County—supporting opportunity, resilience, and lasting local impact.

A special thank you to our gracious hosts, Coast Life Support District and the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas, for helping make these gatherings meaningful.

And we’re not done yet! These were just the first two celebrations, and we can’t wait to share highlights from the next receptions soon. ✨

What an incredible day at the Leggett Health & Resource Fair at Leggett School! 🎉💙

We loved connecting with community members, meeting so many amazing local organizations, and seeing all the wonderful resources, opportunities, and support available right here in the community. From health information and family services to fun activities and friendly faces, today was all about coming together and building a stronger, healthier future for everyone.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a success — organizers, volunteers, vendors, and every person who stopped by to say hello! We’re grateful to be part of a community that cares so deeply for one another. 🌟
