AHA Authorized Training Center Medstar Ambulance of Mendocino County Inc., also known as Ukiah Ambulance, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity dedicated to providing affordable, reliable, and sustainable emergency medical services to our community. Medstar/ Uki

ah Ambulance services include: emergency and non-emergency ALS and BLS ambulance, special event medical standby, public and healthcare provider training in CPR, AED, and more. We offer a Membership Program to the residents of our primary response area to help reduce or eliminate out-of-pocket costs for emergency transports by Medstar Ambulance from the scene to the hospital. Household membership covers the primary member and other full-time residents of the same physical household for just $75 per year. Group membership covers affiliated members of the sponsoring business or organization, and makes for a great employer-provided benefit. We recently had the opportunity to attend two great community career events at Potter Valley Elementary School and Mendocino College's North County Center in Willits.

We enjoyed spending time with students, talking about careers in EMS, demonstrating our equipment, and giving students the chance to explore the ambulance.

Thank you to both schools for inviting us, and helping introduce students to careers in EMS. We always appreciate opportunities to connect with our community and hopefully inspire the next generation.

Today our crews joined other local first responders for difficult airway training provided by REACH Air Medical Services and hosted by Hopland Fire Protection District. The training focused on advanced airway scenarios with a mix of simulation and hands-on practice.

We really appreciate REACH for bringing this training to our area and having the chance to train together. It’s opportunities like this that help keep everyone prepared and ready to provide the best care possible.

As part of our ongoing commitment to high-quality patient care, we're partnering with REACH for a hands-on Difficult Airway Training.

This training is designed to strengthen your skills and critical thinking for airway management in the field.

Two sessions are available and open to all first responders. Pre-registration is required.

Community CPR Training Opportunities – Happening February 28! 🫀

Two CPR training sessions are scheduled for Saturday, February 28 at Redwood Valley-Calpella Fire Department.

These sessions are offered as part of Elizabeth Keizer’s high school senior project and will be instructed by our Operations Manager and Paramedic, Theresa Gowan.

First Session:
· 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
· CPR certification provided
· Open to all skill levels
· $15 card fee
· Registration required

Second Session:
· 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
· Hands-only CPR
· Learn personal safety & when to call 911
· No certification issued
· RSVP is appreciated, but not required.
