Reminder for Hands on Land Training: The annual on-land "w**d boat" training will be held this Thursday at the Town of Esopus Highway Dept at 6:30 pm. It is a great opportunity for new people to check the boat out and learn the ropes so to speak, and a good refresher for experienced cutters. If you are unable to make the training and want to cut, don't worry, we will pair you with an experienced person until you are up to speed with logistics. The address is 324 Mountainview Ave, Port Ewen, NY 12466.

Even if you are an experienced cutter, please review the safety guidelines on pages 32 and 33. It might feel like overkill, but respecting the water, Mother Nature, and the nature of all things mechanical helps keep us safe.

Update: multiple trees came down in the storm which have been removed. Utility crews out repairing wires by Marist Brothers and Esopus Barns. Please be prepared to stop.
