The City of Unalaska, and the International Port of Dutch Harbor are located on Unalaska and Amaknak Islands in the Aleutian Chain off of mainland Alaska. Dutch Harbor is the #1 Commercial Fishing Port in the Nation. The Unangan people, also known as Aleuts, have lived consistently on this island for more than 8 thousand years. They created a sophisticated maritime culture, thriving in the challenging environment of the Aleutian Islands. A little known fact is that Unalaska and Dutch Harbor were bombed by the Japanese during WWII. Ulakta Head on Amaknak Island, location of Fort Schwatka, was the highest coastal battery position in the United States.

🚨 Reminder: Unalaska Property Tax Due Soon!
The first half of the annual real and business personal property tax is due August 20th. Avoid penalties and interest by paying on time through one of the options below:

In-Person: Cash, check, or money order at City Hall (43 Raven Way).

By Mail: Checks or money orders to P.O. Box 610, Unalaska, AK 99685 (must be postmarked by August 20th).

New Online Portal: Pay at ak-unalaska.corebtpay.com; E-Checks are a flat $2.00 fee, and Credit/Debit cards carry a 2.95% fee.

Alternative Online Option: Credit cards accepted via www.officialpayments.com (ACI processing fees apply).
