Independent Party Endorses Senator John A. Kissel for Re-Election to State Senate
ENFIELD, CT — State Senator John A. Kissel has received the endorsement of the Independent Party in his campaign for re-election to Connecticut’s 7th State Senate District (Enfield, Somers, Suffield, Granby, East Granby, Windsor Locks, Windsor, Ellington)
The endorsement reflects Kissel’s focus on affordability, education, responsible government, energy costs, local control, and a willingness to work with people across party lines.
“I am honored to receive the endorsement of the Independent Party,” Kissel said. “I have always believed that good ideas can come from any political party. Connecticut faces many complex challenges, but they are not insurmountable. So many of those challenges come back to one issue, affordability for working and middle-class families.”
Kissel has emphasized the importance of giving Connecticut voters meaningful choices at the ballot box. He supports a fair election system that gives qualified major-party, minor-party, and petitioning candidates a reasonable opportunity to compete. He also supports keeping the Citizens’
Election Program available to candidates who meet the same requirements, regardless of party affiliation.
