Never Forget.

Today, we remember the 2,977 innocent lives lost on September 11, 2001, including the Connecticut residents who never returned home.

We honor the courage of the first responders who ran toward danger, the service members who answered the call in the years that followed, and the families who continue to carry the weight of that day.

Twenty-five years later, we will never forget.

May God bless the fallen, their families, and the United States of America.

Having earned the the title of an "affordability champion" by CBIA, the state's largest business organization, is truly an honor.

I have and will continue to work to reduce the costs placed onto individuals, families, retirees, and our business community. My goal is to make Connecticut a state where people flock to, not flee.

Great News!

Read my press release on being endorsed below!!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Independent Party Endorses Senator John A. Kissel for Re-Election to State Senate

ENFIELD, CT — State Senator John A. Kissel has received the endorsement of the Independent Party in his campaign for re-election to Connecticut’s 7th State Senate District (Enfield, Somers, Suffield, Granby, East Granby, Windsor Locks, Windsor, Ellington)

The endorsement reflects Kissel’s focus on affordability, education, responsible government, energy costs, local control, and a willingness to work with people across party lines.

“I am honored to receive the endorsement of the Independent Party,” Kissel said. “I have always believed that good ideas can come from any political party. Connecticut faces many complex challenges, but they are not insurmountable. So many of those challenges come back to one issue, affordability for working and middle-class families.”

Kissel has emphasized the importance of giving Connecticut voters meaningful choices at the ballot box. He supports a fair election system that gives qualified major-party, minor-party, and petitioning candidates a reasonable opportunity to compete. He also supports keeping the Citizens’

Election Program available to candidates who meet the same requirements, regardless of party affiliation.

The Connecticut Republican Party extends our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of former Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman.

Nancy dedicated decades of her life to public service and was a trailblazer for women in Connecticut politics. Her tenacity, commitment to our state, and impact on Connecticut’s political life will long be remembered.
