• Quality-of-life concerns such as speeding, vandalism, and nuisance complaints
• Questions and suggestions from residents

Ready to put some serious horsepower in your safe while supporting an even better cause? 😎

The Montville Police Department is holding a fundraiser raffle to help support the continued operation of our K-9 Unit! Proceeds help cover veterinary care, food, and patrol-car outfitting for canine safety.

***K9 Sig Signs New Food Sponsorship Deal With Builders Tile and Carpet Company***

As you can see, K9 Sig held a press conference today. No, he’s not taking his talents to south beach or building a super team in Philadelphia… Instead he is announcing that BT Tile has agreed to sponsor K9 Sig’s food budget for the year, approximately $2300.

Not to be outdone by K9 Rogue, K9 Sig had his own photo shoot at BT Tile and had to one up K9 Rogue and go all out on the merchandise.

K9’s are an extremely important asset to a police department and surrounding agencies. They can be expensive and without generous donations like this, we wouldn’t be able to have the K9 program that we currently have.

K9 Gage is feeling a little left out seeing K9 Sig and K9 Rogue getting all the love.

Our midnight shift as a whole isn’t against being sponsored as well.

Maple Avenue will be closed between Bridge St and Sharp Hill Road today until approximately 3pm! If you need to access Sharp Hill Road, utilize Route 163 to Maple Avenue. Gay Hill Road will be accessible through the Bridge St side.

**Attempt to ID Larceny Suspect**

We are looking for the public’s assistance in identifying this individual who fraudulently used someone else’s credit card without permission making purchases totaling $2,693.24.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The Montville Police Department would like to remind all residents to report suspicious activity. On August 7, 2026 during the early morning hours, a concerned citizen called to report a vehicle in a driveway with the trunk open and grocery bags visible within. The caller advised that he had observed the same vehicle the evening prior with the trunk open. The caller contacted the Montville Police Department and officers were dispatched to investigate. Officers were able to make entry into the house and discovered the homeowner suffering from a medical emergency. The observations of this concerned citizen and the investigation by police likely saved this person’s life. If you see something suspicious we urge you to call and report it. Your call could save someone’s life.

WOW... what an incredible National Night Out!
To everyone who came out to celebrate with us—THANK YOU! You helped make it an unforgettable evening, and we loved seeing so many smiling faces from our amazing community.

From climbing on the Touch-a-Truck vehicles to grabbing burgers and hot dogs, cooling off with ice cream, cotton candy, and snow cones, dancing with our awesome DJ, competing in limbo and musical chairs, collecting glow sticks, and enjoying all the chips, candy bar’s and soda you could eat and drink, there was something for everyone! And we couldn’t have asked for a better way to end the night than with an amazing fireworks show.

National Night Out is all about bringing neighbors and first responders together, building relationships, and having fun—and thanks to all of you, that’s exactly what we did.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, and helped make this event such a success. We are proud to be part of such a supportive community and are already looking forward to doing it all again next year!
