OEM is monitoring the storm. Minor flooding could occur in the prone to flood areas especially around high tide which is 2pm-3pm. Winds will remain throughout the day with gusts up to 40mph. If you lose power please contact JCP&L. As always do not drive through a flooded roadway

PROTECT YOUR HEALTH when air quality is poor! Smoke from Canadian wildfires is causing poor air quality in New Jersey.
• Stay indoors whenever possible
• Avoid strenuous outdoor activity
• Keep windows and doors closed
• If an air conditioner is available run it, keep fresh-air intake closed and filter clean
• Lessen indoor pollution (candles, smoking, vaccums, etc).
• Do not rely on dust masks

In the event outages occur due to severe weather, customers without power are encouraged to report their outage by calling 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877), clicking the “Report Outage” link on www.firstenergycorp.com, or by texting out to 544487.

Customers should immediately report downed wires to 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877) or call their local police department. JCP&L reminds customers to stay away from downed wires, even if they believe they are no longer carrying electricity. Extra caution should be used in areas where downed lines are tangled with trees or other debris. Motorists are cautioned to treat intersections with inoperable traffic signals as four-way stops.

Rain should start after 4pm tonight and continue through the morning hours becoming heavy at times during the overnight hours. Some minor to moderate flooding may occur during the Saturday morning high tide. Please remember not to drive through any flooded roadways. Wind gusts could be up to 40mph please take the time to secure loose objects
