Please join us in congratulating our own Lieutenant Tuberion on being officially sworn in as a full-time Firefighter/EMT with the Hopewell Township Fire District No. 1 Emergency Services Unit (ESU). He joins three other new members also beginning their fire service careers and has been assigned to the A Shift. He brings his experience from the Union Beach Fire Department and other Monmouth County departments with him on this new chapter. We wish him a safe and healthy career!

1 hour left before the lobsters are ready! Today is the day of our Annual Lobstefest from 2-6PM! Come visit us for great food, drinks, and times!

We also have opened our newly renovated parking lot, just in time for the festivities today!

Our Annual Lobsterfest is only 1 Week Away!
Members will be hard at work this week getting everything ready for the event. Please come out and support your local first responders! The money we earn each year by hosting this event goes into maintaining our building, apparatus, equipment, and gear that allows us to perform our firefighting and rescue duties.

We want to give a big shoutout and thank you to Charlie Croce Construction for the outstanding job they did on the new addition to our firehouse and the new siding throughout the building.

The project was delayed a couple of months while a new upgraded electrical service was installed along with new whole firehouse standby generator.
During that time, Charlie and his crew couldn’t finish their work, but they stayed committed to the project and were ready to get back to work as soon as the electrical work was completed.

We truly appreciate Charlie and his crew for sticking with us through the delays and getting the job done. The firehouse looks great, and we’re grateful for all of their hard work and dedication.

There are still a few small items to finish up, and the parking lot will be the next phase of the project.

We remember Firefighter Robert 'Hawk' Meyer, a valued member of the Union Hose family and the fire service community, 12 years after his passing. Today, we reflect on his life, celebrate his memories, and honor his sacrifice. His dedication to the community is a lasting legacy. This evening, a gathering will take place at his memorial monument outside our firehouse, where friends and family will join to share memories of our dear friend.

HALL RENTAL UPDATE
As many people have been made aware, our hall has been unavailable for bookings as a result of the construction on our firehouse. We have been unable to guarantee availability with certainty.

We are pleased to announce that we have started booking for the end of the year after August 15th, 2026. Our hall will be available for $350 for a four hour rental. Please email [email protected] or call us at 732-217-1161 and leave a message for any questions or to request our hall for your event.

We await the go-ahead for bookings earlier than 8/15 and will make the announcement once we can.

Happy International Firefighters Day!
We thank the dedicated members who step up and make a difference in the community! Our volunteer firefighters answer the call, serve our residents and the community at large, and go home knowing they were able to make someone's worst day a little bit brighter.
