Our thoughts and prayers are with the Spirit Medical Transport family.

Union City Emergency Services extends our deepest condolences to Spirit EMS and to all of the family and friends of Karl Kleinekathoefer, a dedicated paramedic who served with Spirit EMS.

Karl’s commitment to caring for others and serving his community touched the lives of many. We stand alongside his fellow EMS providers, colleagues, loved ones, and friends during this difficult time.

May they find comfort in the memories they shared with Karl and in knowing that his service and dedication will not be forgotten.

Procession for Fallen Lynn Town Marshal & LFD Captain Brad Fisher

Thursday, July 30 we will es**rt our brother, Lynn Town Marshal and Lynn Fire Department Captain Brad Fisher, on his final journey home.

The procession will depart from Muncie, traveling:

• US 35 to Losantville
• US 36 to Lynn
• West Church Street to US 27
• North on US 27 through Wi******er
• East on State Road 32 to Union City
• North on Columbia Street, ending at Reichard Funeral Home

We encourage members of the public to safely line the streets along the route to pay their respects and show support for Captain Fisher, his family, and the men and women who had the honor of serving beside him.

The tentative departure time from Muncie is 10:00 a.m., but this may be delayed depending on circumstances.

Please continue to follow our social media pages throughout the morning for updated estimated arrival times as the procession makes its way home.

Thank you for helping us honor a man who dedicated his life to serving and protecting our community.

Rest easy, Captain Fisher. We have it from here.

Get ready for a day of big hits, friendly competition, and great food—all for an amazing cause!

Join us on July 12, 2026, at Goodrich Park in Wi******er as local first responders take the field for the Union City Police Department Men’s Slow Pitch Softball Tournament benefiting the Wi******er Animal Shelter. We are looking to host first responder teams from our neighboring counties and hoping to have at least four teams ready to battle it out!!

While the teams battle it out on the diamond, come enjoy:

🔥 225° Barbecue
🐾 Pet adoptions through the Wi******er Animal Shelter
🎉 Handouts for the kids
🛍️ Additional vendors (to be announced)

Whether you’re a softball fan, barbecue lover, animal supporter, or just looking for something fun to do with the family, this event has something for everyone.

We are now contracted with the Wi******er Animal Shelter to help provide shelter and resources to the animals in need located within Union City Indiana and we would love to show them our appreciation by bringing out a big crowd to support their amazing efforts within our communities!!
