It’s been reported that coyotes have been frequenting the area of Warden and North Streets close to houses. This just serves as a notice to be cautious - not alarmed - as we have no reports of coyotes acting aggressively or strange. Coyotes are very common to the area and will typically act shy, so secure food/trash, keep pets close and make noise to scare them off. If they are acting aggressively or strange call 911 and we can respond. Otherwise, if the problem persists with nearby encounters, call the PA Game Commission.

On 11-11-2025 at 1:48am, the vehicle seen in these photos swerved off the road near the intersection of N Main and Market Streets causing property damage. The vehicle appears to be a grey in color newer model Jeep Grand Cherokee. Anybody with information is asked to call the station at 814-438-3441.

UCPD is actively investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Pizza Hut at around 6:24pm earlier this evening. According to a witness on scene, the actor fled the scene on foot heading East down Putnam Street. We are asking for assistance from anybody in that area to check your cameras around the time of the incident, if you have any.
The suspect was described as wearing all black with an orange ski mask. Anybody with any information is asked to call the station at 814-438-3441. Please leave a message at option 2 if nobody answers.

UCPD is investigating a hit-and-run involving a single vehicle that occurred on 11-29-2024 around 5:04 AM resulting in a street lamp being knocked down at the corner of N Main and Market Streets. The suspect vehicle struck the pole on the passenger side. The truck is a white Ram Rebel pictured below. Anybody with information is asked to call the station at 814-438-3441.

The operator of this ATV pictured here fled from a UCPD marked patrol vehicle with lights and sirens activated. The incident took place on 6-24-24 around 7:11 pm on Bridge and Concord Streets. The incident was first reported to UCPD as a suspicious incident on Bridge Street involving this ATV and operator. Anybody with information to the identity of this operator is asked to call the station at 814-438-3441. UCPD delivered some cold waters to the six Buddhist monks pictured in this photo that were walking through Union City tonight as they make their way to Niagara Falls to promote world peace. Media releases online states they started their journey on March 31 in Key West Florida and by the end of their journey they will have traveled 1,483 miles on foot. They were a pleasure to meet and their efforts in promoting world peace is much appreciated….Farewell and Godspeed!
