We have been asked by the City of El Reno to follow their Odd/Even Outdoor Watering Schedule.

Please help us conserve water by limiting outdoor watering based on the last number of your street address:

Example: 675 N. Main → Water on the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, etc.

🏠 Even-numbered addresses — Water on even-numbered calendar days
Example: 420 Main Street → Water on the 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, 10th, etc.

We appreciate everyone doing their part and helping us follow this watering schedule.

One of these days it’s going to start raining… hopefully! 🌧️🤞

🚨 EMERGENCY WATER NOTICE 🚨

UNION CITY MUNICIPAL WATER CUSTOMERS

August 26, 2026

We are asking everyone on the Union City Municipal Water System to please help conserve water immediately.

As many of you know, Union City purchases our water from the City of El Reno. El Reno is currently experiencing a water emergency due to a water leak.

Our water tower is FULL at this time, but we do not know how much water we will continue to receive until El Reno locates and repairs the leak.

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, PLEASE:

* DO NOT water lawns, gardens, or landscaping.
* DO NOT wash vehicles or use water unnecessarily outdoors.
* Please postpone laundry and other high-water-use activities if you are able.
* Please conserve water wherever possible until further notice.

There is no need to panic or stockpile water. We are simply asking everyone to help reduce water usage so we can maintain an adequate supply while El Reno works to resolve the problem.

As soon as the leak is located and repaired and our water supply returns to normal, we will notify everyone and lift these conservation measures.

If you have any questions, please contact Union City City Hall.

Thank you for your cooperation and for helping our community conserve water during this emergency.

🔥 CANADIAN COUNTY BURN BAN NOW IN EFFECT 🔥

Effective August 13 at 12:00 Noon, Canadian County is officially under a burn ban.

Due to the extreme heat and very dry conditions, outdoor burning is prohibited, including burning trash, debris, vegetation, agricultural fields, forest or grass areas, campfires, bonfires, and fireworks, unless specifically permitted under the county resolution.

Some exceptions are allowed:
• Outdoor grilling is allowed with gas grills or charcoal grills with a hood covering the cooking area.
• Cutting and welding may be allowed on a case-by-case basis with prior approval from your local fire authority.
• Certain burns may be considered by permit when conditions improve and all requirements of the resolution are met.

⚠️ Please use extra caution even with activities that are allowed.

• Check trailer safety chains and make sure they are not dragging and creating sparks.
• Do not drive or park vehicles in tall, dry grass.
• Never throw ci******es from a vehicle or discard them where they could start a fire.

It only takes one spark in these conditions to start a serious fire. Please help us protect our community, property, and firefighters.

Let’s all work together, be careful, and pray for some much-needed rain! 🌧️🙏
