The Union City Community Foundation holds assets in endowment of more than $4 million. As a public charity, and one of hundreds of community foundations around the nation, the UCCF makes grants to deserving Union City area charities from the interest income resulting from investment of these assets. Oversight of the Foundation is the responsibility of a 16 member board of trustees who are members

of the community. The Foundation, by law, may make grants only to incorporated, nonprofit organizations having charitable purposes. The trustees encourage Union City agencies that meet these requirements to submit applications for worthy projects.
